Passive Solar Design How-to

A “passive” solar house provides cooling and heating to keep the home comfortable without the use of mechanical equipment. This style of construction results in homes that respond to the environment.

For passive heating and cooling, the plan of the house, careful site selection and planning, construction materials, building features and other aspects of the home are designed to collect, store and distribute the sun’s heat in winter; and to block the sun’s rays in summer. Passive solar houses can be built in any architectural style and in any part of the country.

The following techniques use passive solar strategies to provide heat

Direct Gain is radiant heat resulting from sunlight admitted directly to the living spaces through south-facing windows, which warms the interior surfaces (walls, furniture, floors, etc.). For direct gain, the south-facing window area must be sized for the climate, the type of window used and the amount of thermal mass in the home.

Indirect Gain In a design that employs indirect gain, an attached sunspace or Trombe wall collects heat from the sun before transferring it to other spaces within the home. The air heated in a sunspace circulates naturally or with the aid of fans to other rooms.

Thermal Mass is any material in the home that absorbs and stores heat. Concrete, brick, tile and other masonry materials are the most common choices for thermal mass in a passive solar home, these materials absorb and release heat slowly and are easily and inexpensively integrated into the house design. They are most effective when dark colored and located in direct sunlight. The addition of thermal mass allows saved solar energy to heat the house at night or on cloudy days. The combination increases the performance and energy-saving characteristics of the home, generally for only a modest cost increase.

The following techniques use passive solar strategies to provide cooling

Passive solar cooling can reduce or even eliminate the need for air conditioning in homes. At its simplest, passive cooling includes overhangs for south-facing windows, few windows on the west, shade trees, thermal mass and cross ventilation. Some of the same strategies that help to heat a home in the winter also cool it in the summer. For example, with a well-designed overhang, the south-facing windows that admit the low-angled rays of the winter sun are shaded from the high-angled summer sun. Thermal mass, which stores heat in the winter to release in the evening, works in reverse in the summer. The mass cools down in the evening and retains that coolness the next day, moderating the effects of high daytime temperatures.

Passive solar design works by utilizing overhangs to shade a house during the heat of the summer and allow sunlight to penetrate the interior of the house during the winter.

Passive solar design utilizes energy efficiency

Energy efficiency minimizes the need for heating, cooling and electricity, solar or otherwise. Designers of solar homes use insulation levels that are higher than those found in typical construction and energy efficiency appliances and lighting.

Windows are up to twice as resistant to heat loss as those used in conventional construction. Air infiltration is also reduced by carefully sealing and caulking around window and door openings and under sill plates.

Pubs Bars and Inns in Kent, UK – A 30 Second Guide

If you are looking to go out for a drink in Kent then you certainly have a considerable number of options. There are over 1700 pubs, bars and inns in Kent offering a diverse range of drinking experience. Also as diverse is the range of interesting names given to the public houses across Kent and this article aims to discuss some of those.

First of all lets look at the spread of pubs throughout Kent. As you would expect the majority of pubs are found in the major conurbations, with scatterings of pubs throughout the villages.

Looking at the leader board we can see that

Maidstone has 132 pubs
Canterbury has 124 pubs
Rochester has 97 pubs
Ashford has 87 pubs
Gravesend has 87 pubs
Sevenoaks has 77 pubs
Tonbridge has 71 pubs
Dover has 66 pubs
Ramsgate has 64 pubs
Dartford has 61 pubs
Gillingham has 60 pubs

So, onto the names. The most popular name for pubs in Kent is “The Royal Oak”. There are Royal Oak pubs in Ashford, Bexleyheath, Canterbury, Dartford, Dover, Edenbridge, Folkestone, Herne Bay, Romney Marsh, Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells. Some places even have 2 Royal Oaks, and in total there are 19. Next most popular is the Red Lion, with 15 spread across the county and then the Kings Head, The Bull Inn and The Chequers Inn. The Bell Inn, The George Inn and The Wheatsheaf are also popular names.

Some of the less common names we have
The Abergavenny Arms, Tunbridge Wells, originally called The Bull, but renamed in 1823 in honour of Lord Abergavenny who owned the property at the time.

The Barge, Gillingham, once stables for Admiralty offices, then fishermen’s cottages and then a pub called The Cricketers. It was renamed in 1991.

The Cat Custard Pot in Paddlesworth, which used to be called the Red Lion, but when a new sign was required many years ago the artist drew something which more resembled a cat.

Looking deeper within the names we can see that in Kent the most common type of pub is the Inn, with nearly 200 occurrences. Common examples are The Bull Inn, The George Inn, The Bell Inn and The Chequers Inn. Less commonly we have Old Eden Inn, Man of Kent Inn, Britannia Inn, Junction Inn and Muggleton Inn to name but a few.

“Arms”, is the next most common word to occur in pub names in Kent, with such names as The Kings Arms, The Foresters Arms, The Coopers Arms, Port Arms Inn, Fruiterers Arms, Town Arms and The Colyer Arms. There are 106 pubs across Kent with Arms in the name.

There are 43 pubs contain the word “Tavern” in their name, such as The Railway Tavern The Vale Tavern, Darenth Tavern and The Park Tavern

33 pubs contain the word “of “ in their name, examples of this are The Prince of Wales, The Man of Kent, City of London, Duke of Kent, Beauty of Bath, Sovereign of the Seas and Heights of Alma

Also 33 pubs contain the word House in their name
e.g. The Old House At Home, The Albert Public House, The Halfway House and Red House

28 pubs are horse related, which is unsurprising as most pubs were originally coaching inns. Horses are usually White, Black or Olde, but can also be Hungry or Flying. Other Horse related pub names in Kent include The Horse Groom,Sea Horse and the Three Horse Shoes.

There are 26 pubs contain the word Head in their name
The Kings Head, The Queens Head, The Dukes Head, Elephants Head, The Bulls Head, The Nags Head, Rodney’s Head, Hogs Head, The Leopards Head, The Buffalo’s Head, The Griffins Head, The Druids Head, Stags Head, Monks Head Public House, The Saracens Head, The Tigers Head

There are 22 pubs contain the word Bar in their name, which shows growing number of trendy bars catering for a more youthful clientèle. Examples are O Neill s Irish Bar, Bar Coast, Harbour St Bar, Bar Vasa, Sloanes Bar

Finally 21 pubs contain the word Old or Olde in their name.
The Old House At Home, The Olde Lantern Inn, The Old Ship, The Olde Coach Horses.

So there you have it. Kent is an excellent place to go out drinking you should easily be able to find something to suit your mood. Now, if you’ll excuse me I’m off to the Nordenfeldt Tavern for a quick one.

Death Before Bankruptcy – No Way – Hope is on the Horizon

In today’s economic conditions death seem to be the only way out for many consumers who are consumed by over whelming debt. Although bankruptcies are up in filings for the third year since reforms went onto effect many consumers feel that their options seem hopeless yet they still plug on through the daily grind. For many alternatives such as the housing bailout seems like it’s to strict on its guidelines or to ambiguous in its terms to clearly point out the pitfalls and loopholes used to gain the upper hand in the situation by the mortgage lenders.

While we are in these turbulent and chaotic times we need to keep out wits up, our spirits high so we can see clearly through the stormy and uncharted waters of our financial status. For many it’s all or nothing, the fight seems hopeless will I ever survive? Lawyers go for blood and prey on those challenged in tough times. Are they really giving you the best advice for you or for them?

If you have ever had to seek counsel for filing a bankruptcy you know it’s a gut wrenching and sickened type of feeling. You know you’re in for a life long time of hurt and suffering. However if you’ve exhausted all of your options and you can’t take the pressure of your creditors calling and demanding terms you are unable to afford then you need to seek shelter.

Seeking shelter doesn’t mean go hide, change your address and telephone number it means legal protection for you as well as your sanity. Stop the annoying creditor phone calls; get the debt goons off of your back and regain your sanity back to a time when life was a bit easier and more joyous for you.

Although finding an attorney who is both ethical and sensible to your needs is often an oxymoron in the true sense of the meaning of the word they do exist. When in doubt seek them out. This is when having direct access to a professional organization of seasoned attorneys who are both smart and compassionate to your needs is essential.

We’re not suggesting you seek out a well known discounted legal firm or county legal aid for your personal or commercial situation, we’re merely suggesting you have access to a knowledgeable professionals so that if you don’t like the individual your dealing with you have a back up or two or even three.

Consultations are usually free and can be very informative, although some firms may have a hidden agenda to get your commitment on the dotted line; don’t sign anything until you get all of your facts answered and you feel that bankruptcy will have your best interests covered.

If you have not sought out financial counsel this may be up your alley instead. Remember a professional’s whole status depends on the not only the advice given but the business received. Having a selection of more than one professional can make the difference in your outcome financially as well as mentally.

Get the facts you deserve and never jump to a conclusion, instead rely on a trusted group of professionals dedicated to your overall success, not theirs. Remember no matter where you are today there will always be a brighter tomorrow. Learning the options, facts and different solutions for you are your responsibility. Seek out a close friend or family member even a co worker if you have this type of rapport with the individual; ask them about their experiences and pitfalls.

Ask them about personal triumphs then ask them what advice you might need when consulting with an attorney. Once you have scoured your inquisitiveness and come up with questions you are now armed to tackle the interview. You’re confident and sure about your needs and desires.

Learn the secrets of saving money, making money and creating wealth by maximizing protecting and growing your income. Receive trusted, unlimited advice from our financial counselors, attorneys, and financial mentors that will save you literally thousands of dollars and tons of frustration. You owe it to yourself to seek out qualified advice. Stop walking around in fear and get empowered. Maximize your wealth today.

Capital Campaigns – Roadmap to Success

If your nonprofit is considering expanding or renovating, you’re probably thinking about launching a capital campaign. But how do you create an effective campaign? How many donors do you need? How much money should you try to raise? Here’s a quick tutorial to outline the answers to these questions and more.

A capital campaign is a significant project for a nonprofit organization. A successful capital campaign, and the completion of the project for which funds are raised, can be a transformational event. Ideally, when viewed in retrospect the capital project will appear as a logical and inevitable step in the development of the organization as it strives to fully serve its audiences and community.

With careful planning and keen attention to detail, a capital campaign can be a powerful bridge to the future.

A successful campaign is the result of many constituencies working together for a common goal, including the board, staff, volunteers, donors, and community representatives. As the project grows from an idea to a proposal to reality, a Campaign Planis key to success. A comprehensive plan provides a framework for action and a template that is transparent and universally accepted. It is a document that speaks both internally (to those who are managing the campaign) and externally (to those who may be asked to contribute or who may be impacted by the project). As campaigns are multi-year, a clear plan also serves as a guide if key team members drop out and new team members are brought in.

1. The Goal

A key element of success is to accurately estimate the amount of money needed to be raised.

The costs of planning, acquisition, renovation, and endowment must be carefully determined. In addition, the following items need to be added to any actual cost of building, buying, or starting an endowment.

? Ten percent for campaign materials, cost of consultants and staff time, office extras.
? Ten percent for building project extras like insurance, building permits, design costs, and estimates for cost overruns or unforeseen delays.
? Ten percent additional for people who pledge but cannot or will not finish paying, or whose stock gift depreciates.
? An additional ten percent for added protection.

2. Timing

Many nonprofits hesitate to undertake capital campaigns because board members believe that the timing isn’t right; typically, if the national economy is slow, or if the stock market is underperforming. While there may be good reasons for postponing a campaign, board members should remember that the national economy is cyclical, and donors make annual appeal gifts from discretionary cash and capital campaign gifts from assets. Most organizations do not run a major campaign more than once every few decades. Your supporters will be enthusiastic about supporting a transformative project and will plan accordingly.

3. Organization

The nonprofit must have the capacity to undertake a capital campaign. A successful capital campaign must have the full faith and support of the organization’s board of trustees.

However, support grows incrementally. The following action groups are formed as the campaign progresses:

? Steering Committee. Typically composed of not more than twelve, including board members, the executive director, a campaign consultant, and perhaps major donors who are not on the board. The steering committee organizes and spearheads the campaign.

? Outside Consultant. Generally, capital campaigns require the participation of a part-time fundraising consultant who can help manage the campaign, train staff and volunteers, and interview prospects during the feasibility study.

? Campaign Committee. This group may be very large and include board members, donors, and community supporters who want to take an active role in the campaign. The campaign committee grows as the campaign gains traction. Subcommittees may include finance, fundraising, architecture and building, and public relations.

? Volunteers. These are campaign supporters who participate sporadically. They may include community leaders who host fundraising events in their homes, or who have a connection to a potential donor.

4. Campaign Case

The campaign case is the key document that provides a rationale for the project. It is both an internal summation of the organization’s goals and a marketing tool to help inform prospective donors. The case must be prepared early in the process and may be revised periodically.

5. Gift Pyramid

Once the total monetary goal has been set, a gift pyramid is created. This shows the number and size of gifts needed to meet the goal. Gifts may range in size from millions to under a hundred, depending upon the goal of the campaign.

The figures are set to reflect the giving potential of the highest donors and the total number of donors expected.

6. Prospect List

Once the gift pyramid is established, the names of prospects must be attached to each of the gifts. This is the task of the Steering Committee. Acting in complete secrecy, the committee compiles a list of prospects. Next to each prospect name is the amount projected, and the name of a person who will solicit the prospect.

If the prospect list cannot be filled with prospects to reach 50% of the goal, then the project must be reconsidered.

7. Interviews with Prospects

If there is the slightest uncertainty about prospect support for the project, a feasibility survey is required. An impartial consultant who is not directly involved with the organization is selected to conduct confidential interviews with key board members and donors. The interviews are about a half-hour in duration and are conducted at the interviewee’s convenience, in home or office.

8. Solicitation of Key Donors

The “Quiet Phase” is an initial private solicitation. It should begin only after certain conditions have been met, including if the project has been approved by the board of trustees and if the feasibility study is positive. During the Quiet Phase, it is expected that 50% of the goal will be reached.

9. The Public Phase

During the Public Phase, the solicitation effort is broadened to include anyone not directly involved with the organization, including charitable foundations, corporations, and government agencies.

10. Conclusion

A well-prepared organization need not be apprehensive about considering a capital campaign. If the appropriate incremental steps are taken, conditions can be assessed at every stage. If at any time conditions are considered unfavorable the campaign can be postponed. If conditions continue to be positive, the campaign can be allowed to progress to the public phase and then to a successful conclusion.

Democracy and Public Opinion

Since democracy has been defined as, “the Government of the people, by the people and for the people,” the crucial role of public opinion cannot be underestimated. It is the public which gives its views about a government by exercising its franchise in the ballot box.

In theory yes, a democracy is a form of Government in which the people have a say in the day-to-day functioning of the Government through the representatives it sends to the Parliament. The very existence of such a Government is well-dependent on the people. So much so good, but, for the people to have some views on subjects of national importance, it is imperative that the public be of some standard of intelligence and knowledge.

Public opinion plays a decisive role in making or breaking a government but the public whose opinion is so very important for the very government but the public whose opinion is so very important for the very existence of the government has got to be of some level so as to be able to hold the reins of the government, to the advantage of the nation. If this is not so, as we see in India, public opinion can be held for a price, it can be bought for a gift, then does such a public opinion have any value or relevance? If a purchased public opinion is to form a government then, Only God may bless or save the fate of the country. It is also quite appropriately said that, a people get the Government they deserve. This is but natural in a democracy for, the people vote to power, types of their own liking and standards, so if the public is uneducated, ignorant and fickle, what result oriented Government can it provide to the country. In such a case, public opinion cannot be really trusted, for, its opinions have been bought by the politicians or political parties for a price. An opinion so made can hardly be expected to last for long, for, it was never a well thought of opinion, it was just a purchased one. Moreover, such an opinion has also the inherent danger of being re-purchased by a higher bidder.

Besides being bought, an uneducated public can also be very easily misguided or, emotionally worked up, in order to get votes at the ballot box. Now, votes got in this way have to be maintained also in the same way, and so this business of give and take goes on endlessly, and the poor illiterate public is taken for a ride. They vote for people for their face value, and taking their speeches as gospel truth but, as soon as the politicians take command of their gains, the voters are clearly and unfortunately forgotten. Thus, the politician only exploits the ignorant and uneducated voters, and make them act as per their own ends. This sort of a picture of democracy is so truly prevalent in India because, our masses are ignorant, uneducated and emotional. They get carried away by the high sounding words, patriotic speeches, and they achieve no goals. The picture is such that, no matter who wins in the fray, the poor common man, who is the backbone of the democracy, gets noting in the bargain. He continues to remain where he was, just to be satisfied with imaginary power in the set up of the Government, and to be remembered only after five years when, once again he will be the all important hand in the formation of the new Government. He will once again see rosy pictures of his future, and the politicians of the highest price will keep ruling. This misrule of our Indian democracy continues to persist because the backbone is very weak being misappropriated. How can a strong body stand straight and firm on a weak backbone?

However, today, after fifty years of misrule, the Indian electorate has somehow become a little alert and has started realizing that, he has been used and exploited by the politican for his own ends, but, since he is uneducated, the poor voter does not understand how he can get out of this rut of being misused. He does understand the misdeeds of the people in power, but he still does not have the insight of how to remedy the present ills of the country. The voter has at last realized that, he has been used as a pawn all these years, and has got no gain in the bargain. At times now, the common man also raises a voice but, again his being uneducated becomes a handicap, for, he usually raises a stir on irrelevant issues which just get brushed aside. He fights for non-issues, this again just because he does not know what to raise a stir for, and how to get about the tackling of issues like inefficiency corruption and other misdeeds of political big wigs.
In such a situation, it can be really said that, a democracy gets converted into a mobocracy, and, public opinion, the backbone of the democracy a mere sham. Getting public opinion has just become as style and eyewash for, what the politicians have been doing for so many years is only imposing there own opinion on the illiterate public.

For awareness and arousal of public opinion, the Television and the press can play a very dominant role. They can help in building public opinion and explaining problems to the masses. However, in India, the politician has managed to get such a tight grip on the media also that this is also mostly tainted, unbelievable and even wrong. With such an aura how will we ever have the correct public opinion built up, on any issue of national importance. This is just propped up by speeches of politicians and tainted media, and, when this works upon the uneducated masses, a messy decoction is the result, as is so evident in India.

Public opinion which is the very essence of a democracy is a hollow farce made up by tales workings on the illiterate masses. Thus, it is very clear that, democracy is meant for a highly educated country where the masses can understand, think, and view all issues and then give their consent. Besides, a democracy is meant for a highly disciplined country where, the masses know that, all rules and laws are meant to be followed and strictly obeyed. A country where the general public is highly illiterate indisciplined, and in a permanent readiness to break any law made, is, absolutely unfit for a democracy. The opinion of such a public can be of no use for the improvement and progress of the country. To cap it all, where, the highest rung of the ladder, the politician is corrupt and unmeaning, the face of the democracy is destroyed and public opinion is not more than just the view of a few selfish politicians, who only work up sentiments and get the desired opinion.

Thus, we can see that, India is the most unfit country for a democratic set up, and its public hardly fit enough to have any opinion. Above all, the politician here is the most corrupt class, and has intentionally kept the masses uneducated for five decades as, he can play merry hell only when, and till the masses are unaware. The democracy of India is in shambles as, the backbone is too weak to hold the system its full lease. To summarise, the democracy, in India, the twins of democracy and public opinion are both dead, or at least taking their life breaths from some internal strengths.

Solar Powered Fans – A Buyer’s Guide

Solar Powered Fans are the ultimate solar product. They work best when they’re needed the most. As the sun starts to sizzle, these devices kick into action and provide a nice cooling breeze–for free!

Another great thing about solar powered fans is that you can install them anywhere. You don’t have to worry about electrical outlets and power cords. It’s just the fan, man.

There are many different kinds of solar powered fans you can buy. Here are some of the most popular:

Solar Powered Attic Fans Your attic needs ventilation to reduce the tremendous amount of heat that builds up as the sun beats down on the roof. Heat creates moisture, and moisture turns into rust, rot, bacteria, and mold. These are not things you want in your house.

Besides creating a health hazard, the heat in your attic travels down through your house, warming every room. Have you ever noticed that during an unusually cool summer day your house is still brutally hot? That’s because the stifling air in your attic has nowhere to go but down.

Solar powered attic fans cool your entire house by creating a draft that draws all the hot indoor air up into the attic and out the fan. Meanwhile, cool outside air is sucked into the house through the windows. The result is a cool, healthy attic–and house!

Solar Powered Gable Fans Like attic fans, gable fans ventilate and cool your attic. But whereas attic fans lie on the roof itself, gable fans are installed in the gables, naturally. Although smaller that attic fans, gable fans can be powerful. One 10 watt solar powered gable fan can ventilate 1,200 square feet. These fans are also perfect for garages, barns, lofts, workshops, or storage sheds–anyplace where moisture might cause mold and mildew.

Solar Powered Vents Vents are smaller than gable fans. They’re perfect for smaller spaces where moisture accumulates, like on your boat. I know someone who even installed a solar powered vent on his doghouse. Now that’s a lucky dog! You could also put one on your camper, RV, or van. These small solar powered fans will keep everything cool and clean–at no cost!

Solar power is here to stay. One of the world’s leading futurists, Ray Kurzweil, told The New York Times that solar power would be as important a source of energy as fossil fuels in about 5 years. And he firmly believes that in a couple of decades, all our energy will be derived from clean sources.

But you don’t have to wait. There are many solar products than can help you save money–and the environment–right now. And there’s no better place to start than with solar powered fans.

School Systems

I am a teen who is in high school. I am right now an average high schooler with average grades(A’s B’s C’s and even sometimes D’s). In addition, I also have a lot of bad concerns about our school systems.

The first topic I want to talk about is cheating. At my school almost everybody in 3 out of my 4 classes cheats, with a few exceptions of me and a couple other people. I think it is very unfair when kids in my honors classes seem to be so much smarter than me when they really are not. So my GPA right now is 2.5 which isn’t that good. However a girl in my class has barley any knowledge in the class, and she has an 4.0 . So guess WHAT! She looks so much smarter, and all the colleges will be looking at her rather than me. You could also bring up the fact that my school has EOC’s, or exams which could show that she isn’t so smart after all. In addition if you don’t know what EOC’s are then EOC’s are a state test, and exams are a teacher made test. So for the teacher made test (exam) everybody knows that all the teachers are going to make a study guide for it; so she and whoever else cheats has it made on the exam.

However the EOC’s are different, it is made by the state; but the teachers also make unbelievable accurate study guides. So all you have to do is study that study guide tons and you will get a lot better grade in the class than someone like me who doesn’t cheat. Then once whoever is cheating passes the EOC and gets probably just as good as grade as I do, then I look 10 times dumber. So I just wanted to bring up that point to everybody, how our school systems are working. Thanks for reading my blog and keep on reading my post because I will bring up some great discussions on our school systems and some other topics. Thanks

History To Solar Power Energy

“I have no doubt that we will be successful in harnessing the sun’s energy… If sunbeams were weapons of war, we would have had solar energy centuries ago.” These are words of Sir George Porter (December 1920 – August 2002), Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, which today is a reality. The energy which is derived from the sun and responsible for practically all life on earth is today harnessed for generating heat, light, power and electricity for meeting global needs for alternate energy resources. Yet the concept and use of solar energy is not new. Early Greeks, Native Americans and Chinese have used it to their benefit by orienting their home and hearth toward the sun for centuries. The term solar power has today become synonymous with solar energy which is obtained by converting sunlight to electricity.

While the application span of solar energy now encompasses the domestic (including cooking and heating), commercial, industrial, farming, aviation and surface transport sectors, there are several technologies which are in place to generate this type of natural energy. In fact, solar energy has now found its place in every day use items like cars and calculators.

Back in historical times, solar energy may not have been known by any name, but its use has always been the backbone of agriculture ever since man learned to till the land and grow food or crops. We have seen the importance of this energy in medieval Europe where farmers deployed elaborate agricultural strategies to get the maximum out of sunlight for the wellbeing of their yield. Even today, sunlight optimization is the primary agenda for anyone who is involved in farming or gardening, starting from planning their planting schedule, strategizing row orientation, altering plant heights between rows, etc.

Man has always built his home to take the most out of available sunlight. Critical use of solar energy is evident in today’s urban building designs where not only the building orientation but window placements and proportions and building materials are chosen to harness the most of this invaluable energy form. The importance of solar energy was realized by first century Roman architect Vitruvius who commented that home designs must be made according to the diversity of the climate of that particular region. Solar energy when deployed to supplement day lighting techniques, homes can save enormous amount of resources by making maximum use of sunlight during all the time that it lasts. The importance of solar lighting or natural light was appreciated way back in 6th century Rome and later corroborated by the British in 1832. In fact, it was only in the 20th century that artificial methods became the primary source of interior lighting. The energy and oil crises during 1973 and 1979, made people re-focus on natural lighting, but soon the interest died due to cheap available sources of energy.

One of the areas where solar energy is most widely used today is in the field of solar thermal applications, where the applied technology uses heat from the sun to heat water and space; for ventilation; for processed heat required for industrial applications, cooking, for water distillation plants, etc.
