The War on Drugs

The “War on Drugs” is a term that having worked as a Texas peace officer but also being much more liberal and open-minded than most officers has really troubled me. And, after seeing the astounding report that almost 1% of the entire United States population is currently in jail or prison caused this me to really want to speak out and voice his opinion on this. By no means do I expect that my point of view is novel or that I am really offering any information than that published before me; however, I am hopeful that as more people read and get informed, they will push their legislators for change, or at a minimum develop a greater sense of tolerance and understanding and stop spending billions of dollars on this unwinnable “war” and that they will start remembering their rights when encountering the police and using those rights to protect themselves by just saying “No” to police requests to search!

The War on Drugs refers to governmental programs intended to suppress the consumption of certain recreational drugs. First used by US President, Richard Nixon, in 1972 to describe US’s programs, equivalent terms are now used in many countries and are prevalent throughout law enforcement communities and court houses.

The War on Drugs utilizes several techniques to achieve its goal of eliminating recreational drug use:

1) Specialized law enforcement agencies–officers and techniques;

2) Information campaigns to educate the public on the dangers of drug use;

3) Sometimes questionable searches and seizures that may violate the 4th Amendment to the United State Constitution;

4) Incarceration of thousands.

A review of multiple articles has demonstrated that the federal government spends several billion dollars on this “war” annually. A number that I have seen multiple times is $17,000,000,000.00. That is about the same amount of money poured into the Food Stamps Program which is used to provide food to poor Americans. This is also about the same amount of money spent on the US’ General Sciences, Space, and Technology budget.

However, this number is not the actual financial cost, when things like salaries for local law enforcement officers, prosecutors, correctional officers, and other staff members are factored in. Or, if one factors in the costs of jailing persons convicted of drug offense and transporting the drugs that are seized to be destroyed, no to mention the fee for destroying them (must be done in an environmentally approved way-EPA). Some numbers have run as high as $60 billion dollars when everything is factored in.

These statistics are almost ten years old, but some federal government figures show that 24-34% of the prison population is locked-away for drug offenses. Now, I have not sorted through that statistics to determine what percent of prisoners are there for possession versus committing a separate crime, but I would be willing to wager that the numbers would be astounding.

In short, I am interested in these sorts of issues not only because I am an attorney, but because as a law enforcement officer, I daily encountered the opportunity to stop and search people that may possess drugs. Overall, my approach was far more forgiving than many of my fellow officers who made it their personal goal to arrest persons that may be in possession of narcotics, and believe me, I have seen this taken to an extreme interpretation. For example, one pill for Xanex that was in the bottom of a ladies purse was used to file “possession” charges on her, a felony. In the end, the charge was dismissed because the bottle was found and it was her husband’s prescription that she had taken to have filled and it had spilled in her purse. But, this was not without the toll on her family and finances in defending against this case. No, I did not make that arrest, but I heard about it and just shook my head.

If I stopped someone, it was very rare for me to attempt to search their vehicle by consent or otherwise. My view on the matter was that if they were going about their daily life in a way that their actions did not intrude on the public or create a direct hazard, I was not going to pry. And, possession of a very minor amount led me to believe that the person was just a casual user. Yes, it is possible that this person could lead to their dealer which could lead to a bigger dealer, but realistically, it was just not a fight that I ever found value in. Of course, arguments can be made on both sides of the law and will continue to be made. It really troubles me that the United States, which was founded on so many principles of freedom and self-liberty has succumb to an almost over-whelming attitude of “big brother protectionism”.

My overall goal in writing this article is just to point out that there is so much discretion involved at the law enforcement level that I would like to see more of a balance and equal enforcement implemented, but figuring out how to do that is next to impossible. Notice, this article never focused on issues like “racial profiling” and such which is unfortunately still very prevalent in this country and an abhorrent practice used by many officers. To some, anything that is used in the “war on drugs” is acceptable because it is a “war”… I’ve actually heard that statement made.

But, as an attorney, I just want to reiterate one very important right that we have as a society: SAY NO – to officers asking to search your vehicle. If they do not have probable cause to be in the car or in your house, the only way they may legally access it is by developing the probable cause and obtaining a search warrant or with your PERMISSION/CONSENT… so just say NO… do not fall victim to the “Well, if you don’t let me search, I am just going to call a K-9″….

Bottom line, if an officer finds something with a K-9, the punishment is no more severe than if you give permission to rummage through your belongings. So remember, start using your rights and say “NO” to requests by police to search.

Gambling in Casinos is Legal So Why is it Illegal on the Internet?

Recently the United States government has passed a law making it illegal for credit card companies or other such institutions in the United States to make payments over the internet to businesses that are involved in online gambling. I for my part would like to say that I am not a gambler of any kind as the times that I have been to a casino or gambled at one are so few as to be counted on one hand so it is not with a personal interest that I am against such a law nor is it that I profit in any way, shape or form from online gambling or any other kind. I merely speak out against a law that I consider to be unfair, illogical and hypocritical as it allows the same activity when practiced in Casinos in cities like Las Vegas or Atlantic City but not on the internet. To my way of thinking this is the equivalent of passing a law that makes it illegal to consume liquor in bars but not in restaurants; where the activity is left unaltered but for some reason the law strikes out against.

The issue to those who made the law regarding online gambling in the United States was so called “morality” which of course is arbitrary and if one looks at things from a purely logical point of view should never be used as a basis for law. It being this sort of thinking which in the US lead to the failed Volstead Act. This act being the one that brought about prohibition in the United States during the 20s which contrary to popular misconception made it unlawful not to produce or consume alcohol but to sell or buy it. Meaning one could not profit from it which of course some did and in a huge way.

Morality regardless of what ever we may be told is a point of view which has always been; as what is considered to be moral by one individual or society will not necessarily be considered as such by another individual or society. For instance some may consider adultery as immoral though the law in most countries does not regard it as illegal or at least not anymore. As another example I can state how in some countries alcohol consumption is considered illegal on religious and moral grounds though in others it is not. However morality should be distinguished between right and wrong. Of course never loosing sight of how even these two to a large extent are also subjective to interpretation though for the most part it is accepted by most of society that murder and theft are wrong.

With regards to the morality of gambling; we like many other things such as prostitution, drinking, same sex marriages, smoking, and drug taking can always argue about their moral aspects and their effect on society as a whole but can it be considered wrong for people who are past a certain age (18 in most countries) to willingly risk loosing their money in an attempt to win more of it even if this be on the internet? These people after all are aware that there is a chance that their money will be lost, at least to them. This is a question I would reply in the negative; giving the following reason. Why should it be less moral for a person to win or loose money in gambling on the internet then it is on “Wall Street”? This being a place were even larger sums of money are won and lost. If we lend some thought to the matter; is “investing” money on the stock market not a form of gambling as one is never sure one will profit or not unless one has inside information which is even illegal. Naturally I am aware that there are those who will say that on the stock market money is neither won nor loss but simply changes hands well is it not the same case with online gambling and in this argument, let it not slip our minds that investing (or gambling) on the stock market may also be done on the internet.

If we look at the issue from an even broader perceptive is not gambling on the internet less harmful on the whole then investing or gambling on the stock market? Depending on how one wishes to label it, always bearing in mind that gambling is an activity in which money changes hands more by chance then by skill or knowledge. The stock market naturally being more harmful by virtue of being able to cause devastating effects on the economy of the whole world whereas internet gambling may realistically involve only those who directly partake in it. Furthermore losses from internet gambling could never even approach those that were caused by the “sub prime market” which has set the world in to recession; though few are willing to use the term, at least for now.

The reason the United States congress has seen fit to declare gambling on the internet as illegal is based upon “morality”. I personally do not see how this be “immoral”; if such a word could be applied to people who by there own free will are risking their own assets as opposed to those who do likewise on the stock market. The stock market being a place where on many occasions those who invest do not even do so with their own savings but those of others who are not necessarily among society’s most affluent or sometimes not even informed as to what is being done with their money. Is it not or should it not be up to each individual to decide in what form he or she wishes to spend or risk loosing his or her financial resources or in this case not even on what but where?

However I in what be this whole affair see something else that perhaps some do not and that is if people are not allowed to gamble on the internet or at least those in the US then would they not be forced to do so exclusively in American casinos as they would be left with no other legal choice. This making it abundantly clear that with a law forbidding gambling on the internet on supposedly moral grounds then American casinos would no longer be loosing out to internet competition. This leaving the road clear for American gambling loses to stay in America as opposed to leaving the country. This in my opinion is the real issue that is being disguised as morality.

Naturally since casinos would be making more money because of this law so would the United States government given that casinos would have higher revenues to be taxed which in a time of crisis would not come as unwanted income. This even goes further as when Americans gamble less in casinos and more on the internet they also spend less money on traveling to those casinos, or staying in the hotels which own the casinos. This creating a situation that internet gambling has not only taken profits from American casinos but all those businesses connected to them. So taking these factors in to consideration, I in my believe (if no one else’s) claim this law was passed to assist casinos in America and their associated businesses in making higher profits while hiding behind the smoke screen that is morality. Moral grounds being that people loose their money and communities suffers as if the same thing did not occur when the identical activity is carried out in the casinos of Los Vegas or Atlantic City.

Of course like with prohibition which did not stop drinking but rather increased it; this law based on hypocrisy will also not stop online gambling either; even for Americans (let alone people from other countries) as all they need do is travel outside the US or simply find a foreign bank to issue them a credit card that is not bound to uphold laws that simply do not make sense and serve no purpose other then the interest of a select few.

The Health Care Crisis

Everywhere we turn today we are bombarded with news about the current health care crisis in the United States. We are inundated with the negative aspects of our medical system on TV, the radio and newspapers. In Michael Moore’s docudrama “Sicko” our health care system is portrayed as a beast worse than the antichrist. Now I’ll be the first to admit that there are problems with our medical system. Let me highlight a couple. The US hospital system is ranked 37th in the world by the World Health Organization (WHO). More than half of the prescription drugs consumed in the world are consumed in the US. Hospitals are the third leading cause of death in the US.

With these and other facts taken into consideration I believe that we as individuals have the ability and the responsibility to correct the true crisis in America today which is self induced illness caused by the foods (I use the term loosely) we eat. We have turned over responsibility for our health to the doctors, pharmaceutical companies, and food manufacturers who are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). We have followed them blindly into the abyss that is the health care crisis today. The good news is that there is a way out of the abyss, read on.

Let’s begin where the food begins. In the Garden of Eden God gave us fruit to eat which grew on trees and took nutrients from the dirt which God made us. Today, thanks to pollution, chemical fertilization, pesticides and poor crop rotation the dirt has been depleted of their nutrients. As a mater of fact the soil in the United States only has 15% of the nutrients it had in 1948. Farmers fertilize the crops with high nitrogen man made fertilizers that produce big beautiful plants, fruits and vegetables that have little if any nutritional value. For example a woman could get her daily requirement of vitamin A by eating two peaches in 1951, today she would have to eat 53.

Moving right along, let’s talk about harvest. Prior to the industrial revolution there where farms spread all across our nation and most everyone consumed fresh fruits and vegetables that where grown locally. Today there are fewer farms and the majority of fruits and vegetables are shipped great distances to be sold. This is the reason that farmers green harvest their crops, ensuring they don’t bruise during the shipping process. It also reduces the nutrients that make it into the food. Tomatoes are a good example; they are picked green so and when they arrive at the market they are sprayed with gas to turn them red. Tomatoes get no nutrients until the final stage of ripening.

Next stop: the supermarket. Some of the crops make it to the market without further depletion of their nutrients but many go through a processing plant where they are further stripped of nutrients. They are cooked, canned, frozen, salted, preserved

Then between the farm and the supermarket the little bit of nutritional value that the crops had are cooked or processed out of them to make them more convenient for us to prepare and eat.

That covers what has been taken out of our food let’s talk about what has been added to our food. Chemicals like MSG monosodium glutamate whose only function is to increase the sensitivity of our taste buds with the side effect of causing our pancreas to inject large quantities of insulin into our system simulating a sugar high that ends an hour later causing us to feel hungry again hence the old saying about being hungry an hour later after eating Chinese food. Then there are nitrites and nitrates, preservatives like BHT, all things that our bodies do not need and would normally get rid of but in today’s society we consume so much of the artificial and so little of the natural that our bodies stop working the way God designed them to work and we become ill and turn to the medical system for help.

Let me begin this subject by saying that if you ever see me laying on the road after being hit by a car please call an ambulance and have them take me to the emergency room. The US has the best trauma care in the world and I have a degree in Emergency Medical Technology so I know from first hand experence from both sides of the screening room. The weakness in the medical system comes in the area of wellness. We do not really have a health care system, we have a sick care system. My wife had to go to the ER a couple of years ago because of dehydration. When the nurse checking her in she asked if she was taking any prescription drugs and got prepared to type the onslaught, my wife told him no and he did a double take then told her that that was unusual. Four years ago I was 45 years old and taking Nexum for acid reflux and Celabrex for arthritis and I thought I was pretty healthy. What I have discovered is that I was pretty average and living in a box with a lot of other people. A box in which people believed that as you age you would get sick and need to have drugs prescribed by doctors to keep you functioning. I saw a commercial the other day that exemplifies that box. It was a commercial for Nexum and the guy said “When I take Nexum I can eat the food I love.” The food I love was killing me and taking Nexum just masked the effect it did not remove it. Today like my wife I take no prescription drugs and have not taken any for over two years.

The health care industry needs to stop focusing on cures and start focusing on prevention.

Are Women To Rule The Human Race By Controlling Sex And Money?

Women are appointed to be the temptress of the human race. Women hold the key to most crimes in the world. Are women to blame? Or are men just weaklings?

Women hold the purse strings and control your sex life. You say not? What do you think might happen if men decide where and how to spend the money and where to have their sexual desires satisfied?

Eighty percent or more of the entire jail population are locked up because of these two women dominated commodities, sex and money. Women rule both. The main crimes are easily money theft, sexual murder and assault, never mind rape.

If women ruled our planet would the control of these commodities be shared more equitably and the abuse be less?

Don’t call for my castration please; I am merely focusing opinion at that which is generally unspoken but widely acknowledged amongst society at large, and I dare say if it is not, let’s wake up. Having admitted my allegiance to this thought, how can I possibly love women? Problem is, I like most men am what God created me to be, the hunter.

Are women truly from Venus?

Here are some general facts (or opinions) about women. Many men will deny their agreement in public; but in their inner bosom there is no denial. After all the fact are there for all to see.

• Gentlemen prefer blondes

• Brunettes start blonde jokes to discredit blonds, because gentlemen prefer blondes.

• Women travel 10 km to save $0.50 on a product advertised as being sold at a special price, but it well costs $5.00 in gasoline to get there.

• Women will buy something not because they need it, but because it is a bargain.

• Women suffragettes burnt their bra because they wanted to be treated like men.

• Women believe that the world would be a better place if they were the rulers of this planet. (I think they should be given the opportunity , men have cocked it up good and proper, can’t get any worse.)

• Make love not war is a better motto than kill for oil.

• Women control about 80% of the spending power of a household, if not more. Thus they control the bulk of the general public’s spend.

• Women to a large extent wear slacks, jeans and the like. Are they aiming to proof a point? (like who wears the pants) I’m sure there will be lots of denials. Generally I’d say men prefer minni-skirts.

• Women dress sexily to show off their bodies, when men take notice they get reported for sexual harassment.

• Woman was the original temptress of the world, (remember the apple?) Nothing has changed today. Men get tempted and condemned for it.

• Women allow their husbands to be the men of the house as long as it is with their approval, and preferably not to frequently.

• Women spend what men work for. (Ooops, that’s a little controversial)

• Women control the greatest crime causing commodities in the world, money and sex, but men commit the most crimes to beget these commodities.

If a census were to be taken at the country’s jails I have no doubt that 80% or more of the inmates’ crimes were perpetrated in a quest to control or to get one of the two women controlled peripherals. women or money. Possibly even both of the enumerated factors.

A weapon, which is often used by women in defence of being called the weaker sex, is the observation that Our Lord first created men and than noticed some serious flaws, so to perfect his creation He made women. In today world, I think some women truly believe this.

There are no doubt many more general observations about women one could make, but this suffices, I have made the point, which demonstrates the general consensus amongst men when they talk away from women ears.

Most men will quietly admit to most of the women fads as enumerated. I wonder how many men will have the guts to write and agree with me. I’ve given the address at the foot of the article. Come on, don’t leave me in this alone, all men and women have opinions on this subject.

No wonder some great author said that women are aliens from Venus.

The other side of the coin

• Women must often have double the qualification for the same job as men and then they still get paid less because they are female. Is this just? Are they short of some sort of inherent ability although they have more academic qualifications? Or are men hell bent on keeping them bare foot and pregnant in the kitchen?

• Women are more loyal employees than men.

• Women can multi task better then men.

• Women are great to hand the screaming baby too.

• Women are more loyal than men.

• Women cope better with a crisis than men.

There is a under current amongst women, complaining that nowadays men have the headaches, what happened? Let me enlighten the women who believe they are under supplied.

Men are now 50% housewife since women are in full time employ. Women please take note now that you are in full day employ and expect the husbands to do 50% of the motherly duties, nothing against that, but please, we must change nappies and get up at 2 am to warm the babies bottle etc., Why should we not be entitled to the occasional head ache?

In fact, the whole of creation is upside down, look at your teenage daughter, at the age of 14 or 15 possibly even younger they are chasing boys. Should not the men be the hunter? I think so. Look at nature the way God created it. Males are the hunters, but note, only successful if the women gives permission. Women in control.

What happened to the “Barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen” brigade of women? What has changed? I’ll tell you what has changed, greed, we all want bigger homes, better cars etc. It’s the keeping up with the Joneses syndrome which is the problem. to achieve this wives have had to become economically active. I’m not saying I liked women better when barefoot etc, no, I’m asking a question, who has the answer?

Men, your world is changing, women are taking over, and you are not about to stop the avalanche. In fact they will more than likely shortly rule America. Who cares? They can not do any worse then men. Or can they? Is Venus in the same state of chaos as planet earth?

Here is some tangible proof that women are widely recognised as the temptresses of the world as ever they were.

If women are not, why does a manufacturer of great Italian vehicles have to have a scantily clothed, sexy women present at their exhibit at the Earls Court Motor Show, right on the rotating platform? Because women are a star attraction, pretty, shapely women attract men, and the advertiser hopes that on the off chance they may even notice the car. Women, remain ever the temptress, and this fact is well exploited by the emperors of commerce. She tempts men, she draws them closer to come and look. (At what?)

I’ve said enough, or just about. Men, do you know that the greatest slice of internet money is taken home by women? ( have to get my wife operative at this). I wonder why, if in commerce they are remunerated at a lesser level for similar professions? It appears that they are taking over. The internet is the world’s largest market place. It is the only place I know where you often do not know with whom you are transacting. Does this indicate that women are discriminated against because of the misnomer, “weaker sex?”

Internet seems the only real equitable place we do not know or determine if the GURU is a women, if it is a women, she earns the same and more than the male, could the reason be that here gender is obscured? Shoo, makes you think, doesn’t it?

Temptation from the Garden of Eden. Till today the world upholds women as the ultimate temptress hence the ever present female torso largely in various states of undress in advertising. It is held that a half naked feminine torso if shaped according to the fads of the male world will attract attention, and it does. Some of the most obscure products use women in their advertising to get their product noticed. Women have a multiplicity of uses. Are men just as versatile?

For men, the danger of being swamped by women lurks around every corner, or is it a danger, is it not perhaps good fortune lurking? I can name a few women who were colossus in this world during the immediate past decades, like British Maggie or Jewish Golda. I am not very fond of the worlds idle parasites who ride the shu shu train of wealth like the Dutch Queen and the British Queen etc.
What could the poor of the world do with their wealth and income? Costs me money for no return.

Are men about to be relieved of all the responsibilities of this planet? Women are very capable of earning big money. If women as a species suddenly wake up and employ their full persuasive powers in every sense of the word, they will rule, the purse and the bedroom. Men in powerful positions demand sex, if women were there they would extract favours for sex, which is worse? Thing are looking bleak for the strongest sex, soon to be the weakest.

Unopposed i am sure, the women of the world are each in their own right and personal domain, minister of finance, food supplies and sexual pleasure.

Men, I ask, do we still have a roll to play? Women no longer need us, sex is also pleasurably achievable without a male around, in fact many women will claim greater erotic pleasure contributing this to mechanical bedroom equipment. Are we the stronger sex? May be physically, but mentally? We are lorded over by women in all the important facets of life, certainly the two deemed most important. Women rule supreme. I say thank heaven they do not seem to have cottoned on the this fact as yet. However, it is a fact of life. Sex and money are the women domains.

Now then, if this be so they must shoulder the blame for modern society’s promiscuity and money greed, for both of these society steal murder and plunder. Does it mean that men have been weaklings since Eve tempted Adam?

Are women running our lives or are women running out of control?

I’d like a few opinions, I sure as hell don’t know where I am on or off with this women issue. Do we respect the species who clearly hold the key to our survival? Do we stand by and let women rule the world? Come on, let me have some input, don’t let the world believe that only the author thinks like this.

I look forward to a few answers, hopefully dispersed by some good humour. No antagonism please, women live on this planet also, not only on Venus. We are not looking to make war with women, I’d rather make love, yes with women.

• Will this be a better world if the women rule?

• Are women who definitely rule money and sex responsible for the worlds promiscuity?

• Would the jails be only quarter as full if it was not women being in control of sex and money?

Problems in American Education

Too many people think that schools are hopeless and that nothing can be done. Or they live in that dream world that says, “not here; not my school.” This is exactly the same mentality that we old-timers saw at the early stages of what later became a nationwide drug epidemic.

What all those parents who are so complacent about the alleged excellence of their local schools need to remember is: It was our best and brightest students that ranked 24th in global competition. No matter how good you may think your local school is, it still doesn’t stack-up against the rest of the world.

If you’ve been studying the news for any length of time, then you know about the relationship between our nation’s growing dropout rate and the massive increase in crime. With up to 75% of students dropping out in some of our large, urban areas, that converts to 3 out of four students with no diploma and no skills. Even worse, if that is possible, far too many students who DO graduate, cannot read or compute math adequately.

Many people don’t see how dropouts in large cities have anything to do with their own lives. They feel protected against the problems with schools in other areas and don’t believe that failing schools can have any impact on their own well being or safety. Thus, we see lethargy or denial when it comes to motivating people to insist on education reform.

Finally, in an attempt to try and FORCE improvements in our failing schools, the country adopted No Child Left Behind, a program of testing, testing, testing, supposedly to increase accountability. But it simply led to rigged results in too many states, and no basis for adequate comparison. Now it seems that even attempts to make NCLB work more effectively, keep getting postponed by Congress.

Complicating issues in our schools in 2008, kids are more exposed to drugs and drug use than ever before, both at school and at home. It’s extremely difficult to learn when the brain is scrambled on narcotics, prescription drugs, cold medicines, glue or whatever is the latest ‘high getter’. And, as the statistics show, parent’s expectations of their own children demonstrate awareness and denial of any drug use simultaneously.

On top of everything else, there is an appalling lack of leadership role models for our students today in the USA. Leadership is a skill that must be taught to our youth – along with critical thinking training and the ability to make life-enhancing decisions. For some reason, our school curriculum’s do not address these issues, or they are only implemented as of secondary, rather than primary importance.

Some people say that American kids are dumber, but I say “Phooey!” As a Grandmother and great-grandmother, I personally know that our children today are just as capable of excelling as any students in the past. Youngsters today grow up knowing more about new technologies than oldsters can even fathom. Children today know how to text message, play games and carry on internet or cell phone conversations simultaneously. Then we wonder why they are bored in class.

When are we going to wake up to the need for reform in our schools? Yes, there are some good programs being instituted on a small scale in a few schools across the country, but until now, there has been no plan that would improve every school across the nation.

Politicos and academic committees keep coming up with massively expensive programs that will take years, and tears, to implement. What is needed is a simple plan with solutions that can turn our schools around within 2-3 years and that are reasonably economical. Unfortunately, publicity goes to the unrealistic and expensive plans that have been suggested or implemented to date.

We need solutions not only to curriculum problems, but also the social ills that are impacting school quality in such a powerful way. It’s time to insist on implementation of techniques have already been proven to work in actual practice.

Policymakers and academicians KNOW we have a problem, but nothing is going to change until the public gets involved and DEMANDS changes.

US Immigration Visa Lawyer – New Reforms?

As a US Immigration Visa Lawyer, I have come to believe this country desperately needs new US immigration reforms. I formed this belief a long time before our Congress began its immigration debates.

In my work, I had come to see many faults of our current policies. Particularly, there are some injustices that “go on” in today’s system.

What are they?

People who should stay are being deported. People who should leave USA are staying regardless of their current immigration status.

All immigration policies have to be based on one principle. People who contribute to USA’s economy the most should always be allowed to stay. People who create more problems by committing crimes, for instance, should be deported.

It is a very simple principle that will work. By the way, when I talk about contribution to US economy, I do not mean only contribution from professional people. That is, people with degrees who have some specialized body of knowledge.

You can contribute to this economy by cleaning toilets or doing a farm work. After all, America needs people who clean toilets, move furniture, and do babysitting. In many cases, American people do not want these jobs anyway. Why not let the foreigners do them? Someone has to fill these positions too.

We can regulate our immigration more if we allow people to fill these positions legally.

We should also implement many Canadian policies. In terms of its resources, USA tends to be more wealthy than Canada. However, people tend to be more happy and satisfied with the direction in which Canadian government is leading them.

For instance, you do not see too many homeless people there. You do not see many unemployed people. You do not see too many people using its welfare system. Here, we have a riot for public benefits. It is because Canada has “smart” immigration policies in place. These policies obviously do work. Otherwise, the country would have been a “mess” by now.

How does Canada deal with its unwanted immigrants?

They are usually deported immediately. When there are legal battles to withhold a removal proceeding, some of these unwanted immigrants are granted “no status.” It means these immigrants can stay in Canada. However, they do not have any rights. Many “no status” immigrants are living in Toronto, Ontario. In many cases, these people can only live where there is a decent chance of getting a job.

Also, they live within their own ethnic communities. Much like some employers in USA, some Canadian employers are still hiring “no status” immigrants. Life is not easy for them. However, Canada has to look after its own welfare first before it can allow many foreigners to stay permanently.

Again, if we do not know what immigration policies we need to adopt, we must look at Canada or Sweden. We would have been better off than we are now if we did so a long time ago.

All our immigration problems stem from being in denial. For years, our society refused to acknowledge we have immigration problems. What is worse is we were not willing to do anything about them. In the mean time, these problems “grow” and “develop.”

It is still possible to correct our US immigration system. We must look at our neighboor for help now!

Educate Consciousness

We must educate to alleviate the problem of prejudism in our society. Prejudism is a worldwide phenomenon which has come along way since slavery, yet still we have light years of change to make as human beings. Our minds are trained to judge; we are constantly critiquing the news broadcaster, or an outfit a model is wearing on T.V. We are so blind to prejudice that most of us walk around with our eyes closed, and our judge robes tied tight. Whether we meet a stranger, or just pass one on the street, there is always at least a flicker of judgment, either conscious or unconscious, influenced by each person’s inlaid prejudism.

It is this smoldering fire that lies beneath the eye level of everyday consciousness; as life progresses the fire grows and the human race burns on with stereotypes and hatred. Human self expression is all too often discouraged, while our right to freedom is being suppressed by society, how are we to keep our human dignity as individuals? What can be done to stop such ignorant behavior? Well, the first step towards change is acceptance, and awareness of the problem through education.

Sometimes acceptance of your own flaws is necessary before others can learn to accept them. Once everyone is aware of the flaws, it is somehow easier to cope with them and learn to change the behavior. Sadly, most of America (by choice or by accident) is still oblivious to the flaw in society we call prejudism.

It’s simple; just take a look at your thought process when you come across a homosexual, an African American, a drug-addict, a transsexual, a gang-member, a disabled veteran, an ex-convict, a pushy preacher, or a prejudice southerner. What is your reaction to them? Do you feel uneasy, are you afraid, disgusted, or do you feel no different then you did moments before you met them?

Do you think that is something these stereotyped people face everyday? Well, it is, and there is something we can all do to help. We can talk about racism and stereotyping within our families, our jobs, our communities, and teach proper ways to handle these difficult situations. We must educate consciousness to alleviate the problem of prejudism within our society.

Acceptance is powerful; it can change an entire community for the better. Our society encourages its citizens at a very young age to conform, and be more comfortable with themselves once they act like everyone else. Individuality is something to be proud of; it is not an expendable human asset. Loss of our individuality as a country will result in defamation of our Constitution.

In the first section of the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution congress enforces that “All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

America may accept all ages, races, creeds, religions, and sexual orientations, yet somehow we as a society manage to stifle the progress of our citizens as individuals, by restricting their social rights to be an individual in the first place. Conform; choose the “right” way to live, as expressed by the popular culture of our time. Or welcome consciousness; accept who you are, be proud of your own personal diversity, make it a part of you that you cannot live with out. That is the way to true freedom and respect for our individual human dignity.

Our society and popular culture encourages us to stick with the masses, and conform to society, yet all of our instincts tell us to rear against the norm, and become an individual. So where do our spirits lie? In the depths of our souls we now that each person carries a future and has a purpose for their lives, so why does society become “paranoid” or make a show of those of us who are different? Are we bored? Have we nothing better to do as a society but make a mockery of our underlying diversity? This is something we should all be proud of, not belittle and objectify amongst ourselves. Why not use all that energy to focus on educating consciousness throughout the masses. Bringing home the fact that we are all in this together for the greater good of our society, and it’s impending future!

Reorganizing Health Care Is Not Socialized Medicine – It’s Inevitable

You see, the global enterprises and endeavors of companies such as pharmaceuticals, medical technology companies, certain medical professions, those in positions of power paid for by global entities, and a multitude of other corporate greed driven systems for health care services are pushing this nation into something that could have been avoided. Through their greed, their ignorance of societies basic needs, and of the natural human degenerative process; the winds of change can be heard. They watch quantitative numbers that represent people’s lives and profits but, the subjective and qualitative economic burdens placed on persons lives are ignored.

They adamantly display arrogance and social psychological deception, through the utilization of our own patriotism, nationalism and Americanism. We must do what the rest of the world has done! Not to globalize, but to survive (with our own unique system that’s better). Regardless, if you think tampering with today’s medical system is wise, will work, or will be profitable for some and not for most is irrelevant…it must be done. We have no choice….it is a matter of survival… our families survival, our economic, our physical, our psychological, our emotional, our political and our Nations survival….we must reorganize medicine. They have given no choice…they still do not hear our voices; “the price is still too high” in comparison to our income, in comparison to inflation, our standards of living (which is being taken away by global trade policies and other systems of greed and corruption) and our abilities to provide! Simply stated, health care is simply unreasonably priced based upon our depleting resources. It’s a catch twenty two – and something must and will be done; it’s a natural reaction to survival.

Americans are the hardest working people on the planet with the fastest decreases in their standard of living in the history of industrialization. In comparison to the access to medical technology and expensive health care, we may at times think we have better access to technology and treatment, but birth mortality rates, treatments for certain diseases and life expectancy currently for Americans places us at the bottom of the global list. Simply put, our health care system compared to other countries does not measure up for what we are paying for! You probably will not live as long as a European; and their health care is free! You won’t live as long because you are too busy working, stressed out, depressed and ignored in order to pay outrageous health care cost for yourself, your family or illegal aliens… this will ultimately lead to the demise of your physical, emotional and psychological health.

Middle class and lower class stratified Americans are getting the shaft for the most part, and many are tired of it! You see it in the voting reports, you see it in their political participation, you see it in the way they have isolated themselves within their communities…it’s obvious, Americans are doing whatever it takes to survive and this is destroying what America has always meant to Americans and to the world. America has always been about hope, opportunity, to own something, to take pride in something and the ability to maintain a decent quality of life for ones self and their families. To know that your family will be covered if there is an accident “beyond your control” and to have security that if something does happen you will not have to claim bankruptcy and go into economic distress in order to pay the bills (creating larger barriers).

This is why America is great – because this life in America is supposed to have some major benefits compared to the rest of the world…. it is supposed to have some adequate level of security. Without covering ones basic needs…security does not exist. When one goes to college (does as society expects), works two jobs and still cannot afford health care, or the occupation they work does not cover health care expenses, or the person works for twelve dollars an hour but has to pay for two thirds of his health care leaving him really with eight dollars an hour, unable to spend time with his family because he has to work two jobs to simply survive (why are families crumbling…mmm?) … where is this person’s security, opportunity, hope and motivation to make America great?

A person’s occupation is their identity and may be due to geography, sociology, genealogy or psychological reasons – not simply choice (I wish it were that easy). Only so many technology jobs exist, only so many nursing jobs exist, only so many jobs support a decent quality of life even for the educated and uneducated…what happens when all the good paying, good benefit jobs are taken (I mean good – in that they support a families needs and future)? Others have to work the rest of the jobs in America, and if those jobs represent no security, no benefits, no future for marriage or family…then Americas leaders are telling us loud and clear…most of America does not matter, America’s families do not matter, most of America can suffer, most of America can live insecure, inconsistent and unstable lives. Most of America is not America at all… but something else that is less valuable than we….the elites.

Read Carefully Fellow Leaders – Hear Your Message

If adults in a family quit providing the processes or opportunities for family members to secure their basic needs, how long do you think that family would stay together? It is a simple sociological fact…they would not stay together but dissolve into stagnation. If the children would not be taken care of when sick, when incapacitated, when hungry…would this not be neglect according to our own state law? Is our government committing sociological neglect due to the ignoring and purposeful inaction upon making sure that social members can secure affordable health care (a basic need) for their family? Are they not as a neglecting parent choosing pleasurable activities (profits) over taking care of the future generations of America? You decide. I feel that they are indirectly neglecting the needs of a society and this neglect will be the demise of the American way of life. If our own leaders care not of America – then why should common citizens? Who better to begin anarchy than the leaders themselves? You decide. The natural processes will not be denied. Americans are living, breathing beings with wonderful potential…and neglecting their needs will only bring turmoil.

To not assist a societies members as a government, as a groups leaders with such pressing needs to make a basic need affordable for all, is to say……….work, work, work, toil, toil, toil, compete, compete, compete, perform, perform, perform, sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice, give up marriage, work two jobs and give up your family, contradict everything you have ever been raised to comply, and when you break down (which you will – its biological and inevitable), when your children need their fathers and mothers at home, when the ones you care about break down, when your so stressed and over whelmed, when your working, working, working and can barely meet your basic needs, when you need counseling or mental health consultation due to psycho individualistic reactions (anxiety / depression) due to the socio environmental impacts (social and economic stress)…we don’t care…go into bankruptcy paying for your basic needs (creating more barriers for those who already suffer), may you beg for the money in time to make sure your son gets the bone marrow transplant before he dies…because even knowing you were a cooperative social member, even knowing you follow all the rules, even knowing you did what society expected…your not worth keeping in society, your not worth being healthy, your not worth it to our America to make sure your life is secure enough to compete. You are not a worthy American.

This message to real Americans from our so called leaders and globalist angers everyone I know – and many are reading between the lines.

Was America not founded on competition? And our own leaders deny us the consistency and security to meet our basic needs so we can compete? Fools! No wonder mental health clinics are full of people needing pharmaceutical prescriptions and in need of someone to speak with regarding their anguish and psychic pain; all the while they are fighting with the insurance company to cover their therapy and cannot even afford their Prozac and Zanex…how outrageous and disgusting these global corporation and the leaders they own in Congress have become!

Nearly every industrialized nation on earth either has a medical system that is free to members of society or at least subjectively affordable. I propose a system in which does not deny any advancement of technology to any American – regardless of class or creed. We should all pay a percentage based upon our social position; this is the only equitable and nature sustaining solution.

Friends, let me be frank with you (as if I have been withholding – lol). Global companies and corrupt leaders are using Americans, manipulating Americans and profiting from Americans bad circumstances and basic needs within one of the last industrialized systems that allows them and gives them the freedom to do so. The rest of the world has wised up to these processes.

These evil greed driven systems see you as a quantitative number. You are not one with real regard, emotions or life. They ignore qualitative data (what your real emotion, circumstances and needs are)…unless it relates to how they can persuade you into choosing them as your provider or leader. These persons, leaders and systems for which I speak have no real need to be loyal, to worry about your sons and daughters or your future for that matter. They know that they will just give their own family a job at their multi-billion dollar company or through the good old boy system for which to help out anyone of their emotionally laden relationships…they have no insecurity of loss, no national loyalty, they are globalist and they have no compassion or humility.

So clearly, if they do not care for anyone but themselves…they do not really care for America. They are not Americans. They are not simply rich people either – this is not a rich bashing session – far from it. There are many great and wonderful wealthy Americans and more power to them. These evil doers are the ones destroying and denying America by neglecting her basic needs, a decent quality of life and a secure future to be healthy. They are denying Americans what Americans and even our beloved veterans believe they are working for, suffering for and dying for. They utilize terms like “socialized medicine” to scare the common American away from thinking that any type of reorganizing of the current medical system is communistic, socialistic and will destroy America as we know it!

Well, let me say that the current system, and the players who are clearly benefiting have no regard, no understanding, no plan or purpose in changing – and they my friends are paying politicians plenty and making billions on your degenerating bodies.

What could be more of a persuasion to change a system than that?

I ask you fools ruining America! How long do you think it will be before Americans figure out that the dream has become a night mare, and that hope has become strife? That you care not of their lives or family and that change is long over due?

Trust me, I tell you the truth…it won’t be long.

Americans are much smarter than you give them credit for; they simply have immense patients and want to believe the good in others. But, when they finally smell that rat stealing their cheese… well lets just say this…Americans always have a way of getting things done…bringing change…for that I am hopeful.

And done you will be.
